I have lived 55 years out of my 57 here in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. It is lovely here. The people are warm and friendly. The sense of family is strong.
The weather is great if you want to get exercise year round. No snow. Every now and then GOD sends a little bit of it. Summers are opressively hot, hellish and humid! Find shade, a fan or air conditioning!
2020 has been a horrible year for the Rio Grande Valley. The Coronavirus Pandemic has devastated this region. There are 4 counties in the Valley. All 4 have and continue to suffer.
Hidalgo, Cameron, Starr and Willacy counties are among the most impoverished in America and predominantly Mexican-American. Did President Trump target this area for maximum death? He is no fan of Mexicans.
This is a census year and a presidential election year in the USA. Trump is seeking re-election.
God-willing this pandemic and Trump will be vanquised.
